A couple of weeks ago, Bruges-based artist Wietse painted a gigantic mural of a panda onto a wall in the Port of Zeebrugge. The panda is located on de M&R building of CSP Zeebrugge, and is holding a container.
The mural was completed in about three days, with the necessary equipment. The panda stands for the good relations between the Port of Zeebrugge and COSCO shipping group.
Artist Wietse has been gaining popularity in and around Bruges in the past few years. His initiative Bridges, a street art festival in the centre of Bruges, has been launched this summer. One of his artworks is now present in the port! The mural can be seen from the dyke in Zeebrugge.
